I think that removing Fore Sam's blog is an exellent idea! I mean, what if a really young aspie who started researching autism (so that he could understand himself better) comes across a nasty blog that calls him "brain-damaged" train-wreck," or "mercury-poisoned"? He hasn't figured out what Neurodiversity is yet, but he has the potential to join it. Once he figures out what it is, he's afraid of joining. His whole life gets turned upside down, and he suffers from PTSD. No child should ever have to go though all this. The blog is very vile, and it violates the rights of citizens. It must GO!

Lienda, the problem is, that google isn't going to take action on the violations. They don't seem to care. Several people have contacted them several times, and nothing has changed. I think it's a shame.

That's why I started the petition. And the more who know of Fore, sure, there may be a few who feel he's good, but there will be far more who react like we do, with disgust.

I think it's time we took a stand, and take our right not to be treated as subhumans, to be treated like monkeys, to be treated unfairly because of what other people think of us, simply because of ASDs. If it were skin colour, it would be racism, but it's what's not visible to the naked eye, and it is treated as a joke.

I'm sick of being a punchline. How about you?

My reaction to Hating Autism? ROFLcopter!!! Holy monkey balls, you guys are spazing over a satire and troll blog? Oy, my real worry is not trolls on the interwebs but people in the senent and congress that will pass bills that will try to "elminate" autism. Forget about him. He's obviously distrauged and has more issues than we do.

Lets worry about, equal rights in the work force, Accomindations in the school system, and empowering the HFAs and LFA that are pulled down by their label, that the NTs forced upon them.

I myself feel disgusted that things like this are onthe internet, ready for consumption by the masses.
As for the things wou want to focus on? I agree. But you don't have to sacrifice these in order to sign a petition, do you? I want to spread the petition, and have it signed by enough people to convince google to have the site removed.

It's just a signature. Would this really take more than a few minutes? A few minutes to get rid of a home to hatred, a haven for bigotry, and a swamp of lies taken as fact?
I say it's worth it. I wouldn't have made the petition if I didn't think so.

I don't see what's so funny. They are serious about what they say. You have to take it seriously in that sense, or it's just funny. When you realize that they're serious... It takes on a whole new meaning. Sure, you may not take them seriously, but they take themselves seriously. They believe every word they say. That's fairly frightening, at least to me. Especially this quote...

Yes, I am oh so sick and tired of "Autism= verbal tard" that it makes me mad thinking about how many people do it everyday globaly. I tell anyone in my sick society that I'm aspie, they treat me like I have lower intellect, and even called me "slow" without proof to back up their ignorance. Exactly. All Fore does is exacerbate the situation, spread more acceptance of treating us like this, and worse. Him and his anonymous cohorts have equated Aspie to the following: Sadists. Emotionless. Stalkers. Queers. Lunatics. Monkeys. Pedophiles. Infantilists. Freaks. He played the Virginia Tech tragedy like a game, never mind the lives lost, all to draw a picture painting all those with ASDs to be like Cho Seung-Hui. He hates everyone here who accepts Autism. He profanes at every person who took part in the Autism Pride Day. If you're a youth, he will try to get your personal information, in order to have you placed in a mental health institution to have you "cured" against your will, and with whatever techniques are neccesary. And here's a real kicker, a direct qutoe, right from Fore Sam, AKA John Best.

Let it go? Why don't you just say what you really mean - "Get over it".

NEVER EVER use those three words with me around. That's a cop out and is asking for the aforementioned emotional scars to remain for life - not dealt with properly. The wisest thing to do is face the scar and heal it the only way one can, by dealing with the person who did the scarring. And I for one won't allow anyone else to get scarred either. Neither will Joeker.

And neither will anyone else who really wants to support our right to be who we are - Aspies, and proud of it!

Allowing sick humour like this is the reason why we struggle for understanding. And you aren't opposing sick humour, which bluntly places your commitment to the cause of Aspies under a dark cloud. Bottom line - the blog has to go. It's dangerous to us - Best is dangerous to us - and like Hussein he has to be silenced. Yes - we are taking that comment seriously. It has to be taken seriously. For the safety of all ASD people from emotional scarring - especially those who are researching and come across this hateful and disgusting waste of blog space.

If you won't take it seriously, Jenna, then you are not committed to protecting vulnerable Aspies from emotional scarring. And that is reprehensible.
