Why not?

There are mabe those NT-hating aspies but there's also aspies with NT friends who might want to support.

I don't see why not, but other NT's may not take you as seriously.

But it would be good to have support for some people off the spectrum. Smile Let "the outsiders" know we're not all delusional.

Aspie - duh, it's autistic pride day Wink
NT - another "duh", especially if they have autistic friends

The only thing of concern is curebies hijacking the day and "raising awareness". This is why we named it Autistic PRIDE Day. As for what to do on the day, most people do something simple such as having a small picnic with family or organising/attending a larger event. The key part is that it's a day to celebrate the polar opposite of what the curebies would have us all depressed about. It's a day of celebration and fun, not a day of protest or a political event.

I don't really see how it's a problem, but, yeah, you may not be taken completely serious.  But really, the only concern is "curebies" hijacking our special day, as said previously.

As has become a recent tradition for me, I've spent my last two APD's making celebratory muffins.  But as of recent, I've been pondering the fact that in Australia, there hasn't been an event celebrating APD here since 2006 in Melbourne.  I haven't the concentration now to ramble on it, so please go to this link and take a looksie:

If anyone has any queries, comments, or just an opinion, then you can e-mail me at cobains_soldier@hotmail.com or if you're in Australia, you can make a phone call to 65668830.  Peace out.

Just when I think I've worked it out; these pieces move and I'm back to the start
