RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

I feel safe when I'm in my room.  Away from people thus I can relax and have ''down time'' away from hectic and confusing society.

RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

I feel safest whenever I am by myself - location does not matter. With nobody around, there is no one to attack or criticize me, nor is there anyone to obligate or coerce me into doing something that I would not otherwise choose to do.

At home where ever that happens to be.  I never really noticed till I started working the job I have now, which requires a great deal of traveling (up to a couple times a week).

RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

I feel safest in my home, but in truth I believe I am safe everywhere. The worst that can happen is that I die, but I don't fear death in the least.

RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

I feel safe when I'm with my brother or
here at home where no one but my family
knows I'm here because the car is gone
and the door is locked and the lights are
always out except the go away crook lights
and this is a low crime area as well so I
feel safe enough here.

I feel safe with my brother because if
a mean bob/carole did something bad to
me or tried to my brother would kick
them to the ground if my tantrum/seizure
did not scare them away first.

RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

Define safe as in physically safe? as in safe from harm... or psychologically safe? a place where my brain can take the world in without feeling bombarded by too much all at once well if your question needs an answer to one or the other or both

I feel physically safe in the attic upstairs in our house even though it is musty and dry I have total concentration and not to mention "secondary living quarters" even though the basement is where my bedroom is situated right now in the attic I do not have to be a part of any arguments I can retreat there and I have a small camp cot tucked away in the back with white LED lighting that serves in a very environmentally friendly way I use this light so I can read at night or work on my short stories

psychologically I feel safe in the backwoods of a portion of a deserted section of county park system that nobody ever uses simply because it isn't connected to the trails so when i reach this certain spot I visit from time to time I have a special place... a tranquil place that I can sit down relax... and meditate from just on the verge of losing sub conciousness or the ability to sense your surroundings if seeing me in this state of being you would swear i was having a seizure fit but... thank god no history of that..... yet

RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

I feel safe in small, dark spaces. Or alone in my room. If I get overwhelmed at school this year I'll go to a toilet cubicle for privacy - last year it almost always became a fullblown meltdown resulting in a missed day. Trains are good when I have a seat not too near other people (and ipod). Buses/trams/planes the same.
There used to be this abandoned playground near the station I went to, but a couple of months ago some drunk men tried to convice a friend (also on the spectrum) & I to go with them for sex. I haven't been back since because the safety of it has been ruined.

RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

Actually, I have also found that going and locking myself in the bathroom is not only safe in dark places (such as my bedroom being a ''cave'' according to mother and sister) but I can actually lock myself in there and try to relax..whilst my bedroom, whilst it is another safe place and is away from people...I can't lock myself in there, thus there are occasional invaders of privacy whereas that doesn't happen in the bathroom.

RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

My safe place would have to be where ever I want it to be.... but prefrence wise would not be this reality.

RE: Where do you feel 'safe'?

Right now, I feel safest in my bedroom. I like everyone to be home, but not bothering me.
