Hey everyone, Gareth, Charn, Zonko and I are in the process of making a super pimp MUD for all of us Aspies to vacation in, a magical world, called Shnoz, (we call it that out of humor) It's a fantasy based roleplaying MUD

  Now this MUD is going to be free, however, I do have a request.

  All of you interested and creative Aspies, we need fantasy names for landmarks

We need names for mountian peaks, castles, villages, cities, roads, rivers bridges.  We need elvish style names, we need dwarven, and hobbit style names, we need goblish names and we need humanish names.

  Anyone who wishes to submit names, there are rewards of land and title in the game.

10 names - I'll make you a set of standard equipment.

20 names - I'll make you a pet animal, weather it be a panther, or a dog, or a kitty, or a tiger, or a wolf!!  Wich will follow you, and fight along side you, providing you with protection and companionship

30 names - I'll make you a set of personalised equipment, including a unique item you would normally only find as a quest.  Like a crystal that glows and gives off light, for dark places, or a crystal sphere that floats next to you and provides you with a protective shield, or a pair of boots that can hold a dagger!!

40 names - I'll give you a fief.  "a plot of land, with a Manor "castle keep" a small village, and staff rights so that you can build and create on it, "as long as you keep it within the fantasy theme"  You'll be the lord or lady of this area.

So, anyone interested, post your names here.  I'd apreciate it, thanky thanky.

Oh and one more thing.  Everone note that this MUD will probabally not be all that fun for a few months.  We just started making it.  Have patience   We're adding rooms daily.  Thanky.

The MUD has its own chatroom for discussion of current game play and design, tactics etc.

I am, but I know what MUDs are.

we're making this MUD like a large roleplaying world.  It's like a cross between a MUD and a MUSH,   it's gonna be an entire alternate world for us to enjoy.

I have a couple of things.

1. My character got deleted!

2. I would so dearly love to be a dragon on this MUD. Please?

1. there's a feature called autopurge that automatically deletes unused characters within 24 hours. if you want it to be disabled for your character please ask an archon to do "nopurge raeth" (or whatever your character is called)

2.we're still working on the MUD and other races may become available in the future.

I already play World of Warcraft.

Is this dead?

I had to shut it down because it was using a lot of resources on the server (CPU and bandwidth) - i may restart it again if there's enough interest. but for now it'll stay offline

Wow. MUSH/MUCKs take up hardly any. Unless it's a hugely active one, which I doubt this one would be (at least at the start).
