Gary Numan - Stories

"All the things I could say are the reasons I can't"

Very, very apt.

She swims accross the leather sea, her skin reflects so beautifully
She looks to me and turns away so this is the last real day
There is a hate that burns within, desolate places I have been
Come back to me, I need to say
I'd breathe for you for just one day
Your god is guilty
Your god is nothing
You'll see things he'll never see
Your god was nowhere
A false confession
And never there to comfort me
Your god is knowhere
Your god is nothing
You'll see thing's he'll never see
Your god is only
A fallen idol
A ghost of sick humanity

RE: What are you listening to?

My leg jerking up n down, my blocked nose, the computer's own little voice, foot steps from the flat above, the lone finger that types out everything ever written here and the sound of the writing itself, the refrigerator, a heavy intake of air, noise from outside, there's a bleedin storm or worse out there, could be hurricanes, sound of taking a sip of redwine, moving the chair, sound of a cheap plastic cigarette lighter spewing flame, and all the odd sounds that usually come as no surprise, a neighbor, unusually sober, sipping my wine, talks, steals my concentration, the door closing, tinnitus is what blend so nice with the lapping top.

Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal.

Disturbed - "Liberate"

Probably the best song on Disturbed's album Believe.

RE: What are you listening to?

Oops. That should read Megadeth - The Skull Beneath The Skin. We really need an edit function on this forum. Are you listening, Mr. Gareth?

Sonically, it's kind of like the spacy part of Pinl Floyd's Echoes, only with really loud, distorted B tuned guitars and long peals of feedback. -Running time is 24 minutes, 45 seconds. --BTW I second the bit about the Edit function.

Disturbed- Numb

I should really expand my horizons a bit more.

Any bands like Disturbed?

RE: What are you listening to?

I tried showing my friend Amy the song, but she said she didn't like it after the part at 0:53 started. I told ther that Numb actually takes it easy for metal, and The Game is even more mild.

She might not like metal because of that Slipknot crap eating too much glory. I used to not like metal myself until I discovered GOOD metal.

Yep. My favourite Ministry album is Psalm 69. Their new one, Rio Grande Blood, kicks *** too.
