RE: Pro-cure attitude and late diagnosis?

Fine here, got my diagnosis at 42.  I felt it explained a lot, but then, I've got a pretty sunny and optimistic outlook on life anyway.  I think if you're a person prone to depression you'll get it and blame the AS DX on it, whereas the great majority of NTs who are depressed don't have that scapegoat.  My own NT husband had a bumpy road a couple of years ago at work and was on short-term antidepressant meds to get him over it.  He's now off the meds and back to his usual handsome and happy self.  Personally I've never had antidepressants, don't need them to lift my mood.  I just count my blessings about how lucky I am to be where I am and who I am.

Plus, I've got a nasty autoimmune problem, so any day without pain is a true pleasure and bonus!
