I read about this late-'90s animated BBC-produced dark sitcom on TV Tropes the other night, and I can't get enough of it. Its characters and plot lines are simple, yet highly relatable and relevant. (Many of us know people like the ones on the show, or have been in disturbingly similar situations.) Too bad the show got mostly negative reviews and only lasted for thirteen episodes.

Oddly enough, one of the characters has the catch phrase "Arse-burgers!" This made me do a double take the first time he said it, since it sounds very similar to the American pronunciation of "Asperger's".

That was awful

oh god this takes me back. I remember watching this avidly on my little analog coat hanger antenna portable TV when it first appeared.

It stuck in my head because of that 'vein' that pulsated and burst on his forehead during the end of the show.
