Well I'm kind of excited, but kind of bummed at the same time. It's great to hear that there will finally be another Star Wars episode, but I'm upset that Disney is the one making it, because they'll probably screw it up to the point that it makes the prequels look like gold. Almost without a doubt it'll be cr*p since filmmakers have long ago forgotten how to make decent films. 
I'm still a bit excited though, since I'm a bit of a Star Wars nerd myself.

True, true.  I think it's time we take ol' Lucas downtown for some serious jail time. *lulz*
Anyways, I think it would go best if Disney decides to set the film during the Yuuzhan Vong war period, or other Star Wars Expanded Universe stuff like The Heir To The Empire.
Basically, just read this article about this, because it explains a lot of Expanded Universe ideas for the upcoming film that I can't really explain well.

Got to say Dreamworks would have been the ideal buyer for this, not Disney.
I'd love to have seen what Spielburg would have done with Star Wars.
That Disney jingle at the start is going to blow the movie for me.

If there were to be any deity(or deities) he/she/they certainly wouldn't allow such an abomination occur to a classic saga. But, in that case, the prequels never would've been made in the first place...
