Republicans are actually trying to forget about her, they realized that even she was far too crazy to be in power.

Hey!  That is se....Oh, wait, no it isn't.  

I don't know if she is a sign of the times.   I think that the fact that nobody takes her seriously is a sign of where we stand.  Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic.  

As I have mentioned, I consider myself to be a moderate, or rather (more accurately) an equal opportunity critic of political parties.  

That being said, why do the republicans feel the need to put forward women like Palin and Bachman when women like Rice are around?  Condoleeza is brilliant, poised, and experienced.  Perhaps she's tainted goods because of her role in the Bush administration.  Still, she is a better option than what we've been given in the recent past from the republicans.  Where are the Hilary Clintons in the republican camp?

What's Fascism exactly... Is that where you treat people like *** or something ?

Nope, it's because she's a credible, competent woman.  Fascism is inherently sexist.  The only women Fascism has a use for are Sarah Palin and Ann Romney: the one to show how crazy and psychotic women are when they try to become something for themselves, and the other to show the proper place for a woman.  Fascism is inherently inimical to people like Rice or H. Clinton because they debunk the fundamental prejudice against women required by the "tradition" plank of the Fascist platform.

It's a particular kind of totalitarianism, based on the glorification of the past, dedication to a single authoritarian leader, shutting down democratic processes, empowering corporations, and using religion as a form of mass ritual to build public support--Christianity in the west, Islam in the Middle East.  It also demands a fierce dedication to a certain national identity, to such an extent that it quickly escalates to full-on racism.  It's closely related to other early-twentieth, late nineteenth century ideas such as scientific racism, eugenics, and social darwinism, and the four frequently come in a single package.

To add, I think a lot of people think of fascism as the opposite of communism, but this is erroneous.  One may seek to serve the poor while the other serves the rich (in theory, anyway), but they are both steeped in strict government controls and the restriction of basic rights to the point of oppression.  This oppression ensures the continuity of their power.  Same song and dance, different lyrics.

Oh and pretty soon it'll be illegal to even say that kind of things about this country ... Are we no better than the Russians whom of we we're brainwashed to hate and fear during the 80's and early 90's ?

Strictly speaking, the goal of communism is to end economic oppression (though Leninism takes it in a statist direction which is naturally self-defeating) while fascism is designed to enhance and systematize all oppression.

A simpler definition would be Mussolini's: A merger of corporate and state interests, combined with belligerent nationalism.

Fascism is a bit outdated isn't it?
