We need a thread explaining about the aspie-quiz online
I've notice that people are making threads lately asking about the Aspie-Quiz Online test results and think that we need a whole thread devoted to explaining what their results mean and what to do next...
Also, we could add a link to the Aspie-Quiz Online to the thread here so that that the test taker can know what to do next...
So what you guys think ?
Oh and it's not that I'm getting annoyed with the threads asking what their results meant or anything, I think it would be more convenient for them to visit the thread that explains what the test results mean and where they go to get a diagnosis if they wanted too.
I think this is a good idea myself ....

I don't know that there's any way for us to add a link on the aspie quiz site, but the rest of your idea sounds good.

I don't know that there's any way for us to add a link on the aspie quiz site, ...
Please remember that it's the homepage of user rdos: http://www.aspiesforfreedom.com/member.p...le&uid=169
The link to there's already here: http://www.aspiesforfreedom.com/showthread.php?tid=1943
If you search the posts he's contributed, you'll surely find some informations, perhaps some of them could be stickied (too).
ETA: One could ask him to add a link to AFF. On the other hand, some of the people who asked about the test seem to have come from there directly ...

RE: We need a thread explaining about the aspie-quiz online
I think what Mario is suggesting is that we have a thread explaining what the results actually mean. A lot of people seem to especially be confused by the Hunting one.
I looked over rdos' post history, and, unfortunately, I didn't find anything like that. If anyone finds something, we could start a new thread with the information and sticky it.

Since this quiz is not a diagnostic tool that a medical professional would use in their practice.
I cant see where folks who take the quiz should/could be confident that it will reveal an accurate DX, as to whether or not they are on the spectrum.
As a result, there should be no reason to sticky or dedicate a thread to the matter.
It needs to be stressed to anyone who takes the quiz that it is not a real tool.

I agree with you there. It doesn't seem to me like an insurmountable problem. If a thread is created to explain it, that thread should include a note that the quiz is not an official diagnostic tool.
The only reason I was thinking of making it a sticky is to make it easier for newcomers to find it, since many of them do come here asking about what it means.

I agree, as long as it is stressed that it is a fun quiz. something to ponder, and not accepted as valid.
Its just my opinion on it. And not meant to ruffle any feathers.

The only person who is really qualified to interpret the test results for anyone is rdos. He provides details about the test online. http://www.rdos.net/eng/aspeval/

Would you understand those explanations? I don't, even now. The only explanations given by rdos which I understood somehow were the ones you get in that pdf file you can download at the end of the test. But I didn't realize that the first time, so I only got it at nrs. 2 and 3.
"Hunting" was mentioned somewhere. If I recall correctly it's the difference between hunting by waiting motionless for you prey (crocodile) and hunting by groups (hyenas).
