Hotmail Users! Does this happen to you too ?

This is a question for anyone on AFF who uses Hotmail.com, Have you ever had to click on links multiple times just to get them to work ?

The link to my inbox doesn't do squat and I have to either open it up in a new tab or click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, on it over and over again to get it to take me to my inbox!

Is Hotmail, which is owned and ran by Microsoft, really as broken as it's OS ?

Dear Microsoft, if your going to continue to insult people's intelligence with your mediocre and broken Operating System can you at least throw your customers a freaking bone here ? I mean is your software really develop by programmers who probably took a 3 day training course in writing broken, half=assed codes? Because that's what Windows is, a half-assed job of a Operating System!

I think anyone on AFF who uses any kind of Microsoft services deserves a lot better than a broken and mediocre software company, heck I wouldn't even suggest that my worst enemy use Microsoft!

*sigh* Bottom line I dislike this Hotmail bug ... Sad

RE: Hotmail Users! Does happen to you too ?

I thought hotmail was owned by yahoo.  In any case, it has a terrible reputation.  Gmail is free, but I'm starting to think it tracks you like a boss.  It asked me if I wanted to use my real name on my youtube account!  If I wanted to, I would have said so.

You got that too Conlang, where Gmail doesn't accept names like "John Smith" ? Google + asked me to use my real name but, call me paranoid, I hate how it's tracking my every move on the internet...

Maybe there's a way to get my browser to not store Google cookies on my computer .... :/

better privacy on firefox deletes flash cookies; most browsers can deal with regular ones.  Although I guess google is happy to put in something where their cookies are left alone by Chrome.  I wouldn't know.

Hotmail was definitely a lot better before Microsoft got hold of it.

It was a stand-alone free email service before that. It was pretty simple and straight forward. You could send and receive email messages, which was really all that was required of an email account at the time.

I get issues like that (having to click on links multiple times) when I am on a slow connection. When I am on a fast connection I never have that problem.

Gah, Gmail is evil, it watches you while you sleep. Although I guess there are worse things that watch you sleep.

Hotmail, I DON'T LIKE SPAM.

I only have a gmail and hotmail. I only got Gmail to maintain a youtube account, now google is asking me if my gmail account can become my youtube account...How about no!

What exactly is required of an Email account nowadays?  Apart from spam filter, of course...

True. I don't do anything else with mine, despite the ability to. It really just doesn't need all of those features.

I've heard ads for features, but I've never once known or understood what those features were.

I guess with the major social networks (FaceBook MySpace, Google +) they only let you sign up with the big named e-mail services because they have some partnership with them. And by this I mean the ability to connect them with your social network account. but I despise all social network giants and don't mind third party e-mail services Big Grin
