I have an assignment for my theater class.

I need to have a character(who does not exist in published media).
They must be human.

And I am going to be them for the rest of the semester.  

Any thoughts?

is there any particular (human) ability you wished/wouldn't mind you had?

or a particular time period in history that you like? or an accent you enjoy doing?

Time period includes future...I'm always someone from either the present or future when it comes to drama.

I enjoy doing Russian or German accents as well as upper class, posh English "redneck" American and in some cases African-American

Scottish too.

I can do a lot of voices, not sure about accents, though.  Should I make a youtube video?

Here's what I've got from a brainstorm;
"My name's Moira Mortellini, I work for the Mafia. If you've got a job that needs doing, I'm the girl to get it done."
All said in a very thick Jersey accent.

Don't do a Jersey accent......

Try to make this character unique.... don't make her a stereotypical person from Jersey.....

What are her flaws?

Why is she working for the Mob?

What makes her believable?

I don't have plans on getting a spray-tan, besides, I'm working off of basics.  

Flaw would probably be temper.

That was an idea, she might be a biker chick.

She wouldn't fit in as a real person like this, but I can't really get too specific, we're using these characters for improv.

Couldn't you make where she is from unknown or something?

Stay away from stereotypes as much as you can.

I'm just using the accent.  It's kind of Harley Quinn, but not as high-pitched.  I don't have to, and am not going to say where she's from.

Background/Story- Has (grown/nearly grown)two sons and a daughter.  Her twin sister Lydia is married to Frankie(my friend E).  Lives in an apartment

Age- Don't ask, she won't tell, but she might cut your ears off

Main/Leading Gesture- Dunno yet
