Well, yes and no. I don't think it would be ethically ok to expect that he devote as much time as before for his admin duties. And he started out as a mod, so anyone helping out would have to start as a mod/supermod, too, I think?
As for the "well behaved": there's a "sarcasms only" thread for you to use, too.

Besides he has a special skill set that helps keep the BB running smoothly.
The job is a little more than making sure we behave.
