Beef tea

Who else enjoys it?

I've been having it lately when taking liquid choline chloride (the manufacturer suggests mixing it with fruit juice to mask the taste - but as it's a salt, the sweet juice doesn't work well - something meaty does) - but even without the choline, the beef tea is beautiful.

For those who don't know, beef tea is basically beef extract in hot water, like a stock.

It's a very very pure and strong form of choline, one which happens to taste absolutely foul as it's essentially a liquid salt.

Damn, that site focuses a lot on the possible roles of choline in sexual arousal - which basically translates to "if you improve nerve transmission, you also improve the transmission in nerves that signal genitalia", which is technically true but not the main point.

When I was a kid, Bonox was very popular. It was advertised on TV with the slogan "coffee, tea or Bonox". I haven't tried it in about 40 years, but I remember it tasting good.

RE: Beef tea

What is beef tea?  Is it different from broth?

My impression was that tea was a plant, and drinks called tea were decoctions made from plants (usually, but not exclusively tea plants).

And you can boil cow bones or bones with some meat attached, and I forget which is which (ah 3m t3h cheph dez awesoems) but they're broth or stock...

RE: Beef tea

It's obviously made from the beef leaves brewed in hot water.

LOL

I believe it would be known in  the states as broth

I prefer chicken broth over beef broth

RE: Beef tea

They're always out of stock of beef seeds when I ask at the local store, they also look at me funny.
