Hello There, Guest! (Login — Register)
I've basically read every Cracked article since 2008. I liked most of them, some of them felt a little holier-than-though, but I still liked most of the articles. The humor is a mix between crude and intelligent. The regular columnists (except for Puke Mckinney) have never mentioned Asperger's, and the website does not target aspies as part of it's schtick. But I found this rancid excuse for an article the other day and let's just say that if this was a new article I wouldn't be reading anything of theirs again.
WARNING: If you don't want to get majorly incensed, do not read this article.
Actually I meant that part about "Low frustration tolerance" from the article made me uncomfortable and ashamed and I'm angered at the false assumption that all internet trolls must be Aspies...
Low Frustration tolerance probably explains why I'm procrastinating and reading those pdf's I found on the internet about computer related things.
It makes sense cause I want to skip all the d*** introductions and get right into the good stuff....
So whoever wrote that article thinks we act like evil trolls in RL just because we have trouble with feeling empathy ? I think that's more than offensive and is a slap to the face for anyone who has Autism in any form...
I'm sick of everyone who bash Aspies acting like were the trolls when we nearly ever bash them!
From what I've seen, it seems like Cracked.com is mostly populated by bored adolescents who don't have anything better to do than making fun of things they don't know anything about. If you just ignore them, they'll eventually move on to a more entertaining target.
Friends will let you be who you are. Best friends will never let you forget it. I'm just trying to be everyone's best friend.

The article was written in 2009, by the way... it has improved a lot, although the comments seem to be a well-written version of YouTube comments with less repeated junk and more amateur comedians.
There's another article on cracked called "most retarded causes people are actually fighting for" which mentions AFF directly. Personally I just ignore it.
Cracked has quite a lot of good stuff on it, and a few bad things such as this, ignore the bad stuff.
“Lanie, I’m going to print more printers. Lots more printers. One for everyone. That’s worth going to jail for. That’s worth anything.” - Printcrime by Cory Doctrow
I'm quite fond of cracked.com myself, it has the odd dodgy article but overall it's brilliant.

...Except I actually agreed with part of what they said. A lot of people on the internet read the wikipedia article, decide it's just quirky and awkward enough to be interesting and go with it.
