No, he just thinks he is.  And that his opponent is a chair.

Thanks for that but

I can't believe anything an actor says.
Bill Clinton has already been done for perjury.
Lawyers turned politicians are great orators but useless at getting anything done. After all it is a lawyers job to lie for whoever is paying them.

Hmm so who's left - oh dear- I think I'll get the popcorn out and enjoy the show.

This seemed relevent to some of the debates we've had on here recently.Big Grin

Yeah.  Over a beejay.  Here's the factcheck.org analysis of Bill's speech. http://factcheck.org/2012/09/our-clinton-nightmare/

That is not true at all.  Lawyers must follow an ethical code which does not permit them to lie.  If they behave in a way that is substantially dishonest, they can be disbarred or held in contempt of court.  A lawyer's job is to represent his/her client's interest before the law.  If the client cannot win their case before a judge or a jury, then settlement is the best option for the client.  A good lawyer will advise a client of this.  A bad one will simply lose.  There is no free reign to lie.

Well of course they don't lie, just like politicians don't lie.
They are both very good at being economical with he truth.

RE: Election ( USA)

The one thing Eastwood's speech did was confirm that invisible people hate Romney also.

No matter what you think of Clinton ( I personally dont care for him) he did outline everything wrong with the Republican platform, and the republicans in congress, and how their obstructionism, hindered a possible better recovery for america.

No, you are still wrong.  The relevant facts must be collected in a court of law.  You don't get the kind of leeway you have in ordinary speech.  Both sides must collect evidence, and in criminal cases the court itself must collect potentially exculpatory evidence.  There is no permission to invent evidence and all evidence is subject to exclusion if it was collected improperly.
