He could as easily have left because he was atheist and he saw some words persecuting atheists.
But he was a Christian. I think he left because his paranoia got the better of him and he believed he was making enemies here. He is a nice guy and I hope we can welcome him back soon.

I think you are probably correct.

It's understandable, when you're an Aspie forced into NT-centric surroundings all your life, to automatically assume you're making enemies wherever you go. I could definitely sympathize with Fry, and there have been times when I felt out of place on AFF too. This mindset may be self-defeating, but we wouldn't need to be so defensive if the rest of the world weren't so offensive.
Nevertheless, Fry was a valued member of AFF and will be missed.

Even if he did (he didn't), so what? Everyone's bound to rub someone the wrong way sometime.
The fact is that he felt that he had, both d_olson27 and myself asked him if he was sure, and he confirmed to both of us that he wished to have his account deleted, so while it was a silly decision on his part and I personally wish he had decided otherwise I had to unregister his account due to basic common courtesy and legal obligations.

I saw some words - persecuting Christians, perhaps he took offense.
He was christian, but that's not the reason he left - we have a lot of christians here and the religious makeup of the userbase seems to be only very slightly biased towards atheism and minority beliefs.
However, on the religious side of things he did seem paranoid at times, see his posts about lucifer for example.
