Before you decide to upgrade to Windows 8 please take the time do a little research into reviews or find a YouTube video review of Windows 8.

But let me just say that the Start menu is totally different and the person from the video had it running in a virtual environment.

I personally think Bill Gates committed suicide with Windows 8 and since this communist billionaire is making it Mandatory for you to upgrade to Windows 8, I think a crap load of people are going to switch to Ubuntu or Linux mint pretty soon anyways. So yeah I suppose this is going to be the biggest Microsoft fail since ... well... Windows Vista or as I like to call it, Windows Virus Infections Spyware Trojans and Addware.

I also had one for XP but forgot it .... I think it had something to do with a smiley face ...

So just so you guys know, I haven't used Windows in a couple of years since seeing the light which is called Linux and I forgot pretty much where things are located...  

Just a little head ups, Windows keeps upping the hardware requirements so realistically your not just paying $600 - $1000 dollars for Windows 8 (or whatever it'll cost) because Microsoft has the monopoly on the computer industry and your really paying in the thousands just for the OS and the hardware to make it run properly.

Think about that AFF... I'd start looking for alternatives if I was using Windows Vista or 7.....  

This computer came with Windows 7. It's not here any more: there's only Linux.

(That's why: W7 didn't recognize my DSL modem. It wanted internet access to update in order to ... etc. :lol: )

Of my 11 computers 7 run Win7, 4 run dual boot of Win7 & WinXP.

I dont have any problem with either one of those OS.

Since I dont use pads or a Windows phone I cant see where I would need Win8, which was an OS developed for the pads and phones.

It is my understanding it doesnt come across well on laptops or PC's.

I'm pretty sure a communist billionaire is doin' it wrong...

It's time for people to stop pointing at people and screaming "communist!" just because they are evil.  If you are interested in communism, do some research on communist thought.  Otherwise, GTFO!

I still use XP to play command and conquer (for some reason, it won't run for me on any other OS) but since switching to mint, all of my wine-games have been ten times as stable as they were in EITHER wine on fedora OR windows XP.  Also, when I play rollercoaster tycoon, and I try to save or load the game, the palette totally shits itself, but other than that, I have no use for windows (and the only uses I have found for it are totally frivolous).  

I got two separate computers that came with windows vista, and after a brief perusal, where it never did anything but crash, I threw it out and haven't looked back.  When win7 came out, people kept telling me how it was "like windows vista only better!"  Needless to say, my interest was NOT aroused.

Please don't fight just because I'm an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about.....  I regret ever posting in this section in the first place.

Anyways I still regret posting anything that has to do with Linux, politics or religion.... I should stick with what I do know, YouTube related videos.

If you're reading this: your posts were always food for thought, even if I didn't get around to answer each one. I just feel that I'm better at re-acting, therefore I'm thankful if anyone offers some creative input, like you did.
