What is your socioeconomic status?

Given the opinions I've seen regarding job searching, and generally making a way for yourself; I thought it interestiing to see this demographic on AFF.

Need help knowing where you are? This chart is a decent summary.

Disclaimer: social class can be defined many different ways, not solely based on one factor alone. This is just a widely accepted classification among Sociologists.

Just a quick suggestion. You can take it or leave it. Some people might not want it to show how they voted on this poll.

RE: What is your socioeconomic status?

I don't have a problem with people knowing I'm lower class or (from the movie Titanic) 3rd class...

From that chart, lower middle class, but always moving a little bit higher, ask me again in a few months and it'll be the next one up.

RE: What is your socioeconomic status?

To clarify: My salary is middle-class, but my position (CTO) would be right at the top of the chart and my actual assets are far far higher.

Should the poll be public? Or private?

If you desire, I might be able to make it private. If not, ill ask a mod to edit it.

RE: What is your socioeconomic status?

My new job at the university would make me, personally (not counting the parents) lower middle class.
