Fudamentalist Christians VS The "true" Christian
Okay, so I was watching the sequel to the first Left Behind movie called Left Behind 2: Tribulation Force and I noticed in a lot of scenes The Steele family (or the only two left behind) would be playing a Christian song in the background.
This got me to thinking
"Wouldn't this kind of thing set some Christian stereotype ?"
I don't understand how these Christians could claim that they have Jesus in their lives but need music to help them feel "inspired" ? What ever happened to "I walk with God eternally" ?
And another thing I can't understand is the so-called Christian Rock, I've heard the origins of rocking and rolling with (I think) had to do with African slaves and how the females would gyrate (or roll) to the beat and rhythm. Here's the definition from Urbun dictionary: Urbun Dictionary: Rock 'n' Roll
"Originally a black slang term for fornication with vigour (sex). The term was adopted by early rock n' roll DJs (mostly white) who used it to describe the hybrid R&B/Country we have all come to know and drink beer to. The term also probably contributed to the parental angst of the 1950's adding to the "evil" reputation of those "nasty rock n' rollers".
That woman wore me out... All she wanted to do was rock and roll all night long!"
So yeah this is what I call The Fundamentalist Christian or Jesus Freak/er which has anything to do with the mainstream Christian...
You know, I've noticed they aren't being really fruitful or fulfilling God's work these days. Yes they are producing fruit but that fruit is evil and rotten on the inside even though it looks promising on the outside.
I think their spreading the wrong messages and the true meaning of being a Christian.
To me, a believer in Christ is one who follows Christ and spreads the truth of God's work.
But now it's just:
Buy Jesus merchandise! Your self rightous! Worship God on Sundays and Wednesday but sin every other day! Don't worry, your self righteousness will make you feel better if anybody was to tell you your doing it wrong! Buy into what the majority of what Contemporary Christians believe But Do Not Ask Questions!
So what about the "true" Christians ? Don't worry, when Jesus raptors his church the fundamentalist's will probably wake up and realize they were full of themselves.
Is there such a thing as a "true" Christian now-a-days?
So yeah, if Christians are with God than why do they listen to the sex-oriented genre (rock 'n' roll) of Gospel music and think they have to "buy" their way into heaven ?

RE: Fudamentalist Christians VS The "true" Christian
A lot of scholars these days believe that the only mission Jesus wished to fulfill was to free Judea from Roman tyranny.
His preaching was to the Jews in hopes they would become baptised so they could re-enter Jerusalam cleansed of their sins.
Hoping that god would see this, return to earth, and smite the Romans.
An apocalyptic view shared by the Essenes and John the Baptist, who was of course cousin to Jesus.
Sooo, whats that got to do with today? And todays christain churches and believers?

I'm listening to Pink Floyd just now.
People generally listen to music they enjoy. At least, that's what I do. Sometimes, it's "Christian music", usually not.

I have a wide range of music I listen to, sometimes its best to have a wide variety of things to listen to.... yet when it comes to Christian rock, some of it I can stand, others I can't.

I wouldnt say that.
If christains actually followed the moral code that Jesus brought to the Jews, maybe they too, would find The Way

Baroque church music eqautes religious ecstasy with sexual ecstasy. It's nothing new. Early Rock 'n' Roll gets it's sexual content (musically speaking) from gospel, which does much the same thing. Check out the religious recordings of Elvis Presley by way of evidence, then compare his secular stuff. The musical codes are the same.

RE: Fudamentalist Christians VS The "true" Christian
Of course every Xtian thinks that they follow the "true" path. Fundamentalists, in my experience, are even more convinced than anyone else that they are the "true" Xtians.
And I don't think any hypothetical God worries about the origin of the term "Rock and Roll". Most likely, like me, he holds his hands over his ears when he hears Xtian rock.

RE: Fudamentalist Christians VS The "true" Christian
But, of course, God is omniscient, so he knows, and has always known every, Christian rock song ever written, and those that have not yet been written, so he doesn't need to hear them in the first place.

RE: Fudamentalist Christians VS The "true" Christian
Well maybe he's omniscient because he has his own time machine. Don't they measure things differently in Heaven ?
Question, is it wrong of me to want these fundamentalist Christians to burn in hell ? Or to have the desire to laugh at the looks on their faces when they see Jesus return after being tricked into rising arms against Christ by the Anti-Christ ?
I think these fundamentalist have their heads so far up their a**es that they would be easy to be fooled by the Anti-Christ.
Besides when they only know the John 3:16 quote (or part of it) and probably never opened the Bible to read what sh*t their shoveling down people's throats I wouldn't be surprised by this...
Oh by the way, this is only hatred for those self rightous hypocritical Jesus Freaks(ers) not Christians in general... yeah I have problems with these fundamentalists! I f*cking hate them and I think people call this A GRUDGE !
