Christians - do you follow the whole bible? Are you sure?
With apologies in advance for any offense......
Subject sums it up, it's my firm belief that no christian actually follows the bible and this is a very good thing considering how often it calls for killing innocent people for insane reasons.
Thoughts?

The various stories within the Bible should be read in conjunction with an understanding of their historical, social, political, economic and geographical context. You should also consider when, by whom, and at what period oral traditions were written down.
The Bible isn't one book, but many, and it can be read and understood in many different ways. The historical, social, political, economic and geographical context of the reader is also important.

Most of the things linked to killing "innocent" people was transcribed into the Old Testament. I have no recollection of any links of murdering other civilizations in the New Testament, for the new testament was the prophecies of Jesus Bar David. Which is the complete opposite of the Old Testaments teachings.

So when jesus tells that those who will not serve him should be brought to him and slayen before him, how does changing the context make that suddenly ok?

I though the old testament was about the history of Israel and the prophecy of the coming Jesus...
Didn't the events of the old testament suppose to teach something about the sacrifice of the holy lamb (Jesus) when God told Moses to tell his Israelites to paint their front doors with the blood of the lamb so their first born son wouldn't be killed then God told Aaron (I think) to sacrifice his son Simone but Aaron almost did and God was satisfied?
I can't understand why we need as many variations of the King James Version Bible as we have religions... :/

Luke 19:27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of me

If you read immediately after luke 19:27 it makes it clear it was him talking - unless the nobleman was entering jerusalem with his followers
