Hello There, Guest! (Login — Register)
Can I get my username changed to Fry or Philip J Fry ?
Yep that guy from Futurama
The reason is because I can relate to Fry and strange enough me and him share the same goofiness I do have a question though:
1. How will having administrator/Moderator effect my auto login ? Will I have to log out then log back in with my new username ?
the reason I ask is because my browser automaticly logs me in and I'd hate to have to reinstall Debian (if I had to) and not be able to log back in....

Ah okay, I've got another one I could use SkyBlue Please let me if this one is a security risk as well... If it is I can go back to the default avatar gallery...

SkyBlue0 is the first skyblue, but it's really small so we only use it to boot up. SkyBlue1 is the main partition, mounted at /. SkyBlue2 is swap space. SkyBlue3 is the /home directory.

Isn't the Variable /var/ partition optional ? I don't see any use for it really.... :/ But hey this is coming from the guy who had to reinstall his OS 75 times already lol But hey Live and learn right ?

I think your package manager uses it, actually. But you can set it up as a separate partition by default in your installation.
But really, so long as you have /, you can do anything. It'll give you advise, though, depending on your distro. Mint likes to have dedicated BIOS space, whatever that means.

Is Mint talking about the same BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) or does it use it's own BIOS ? This is confusing to me cause I always though computers provided their own BIOS space in RAM or something like that... huh, I need to refresh on some computer knowledge I guess...
So the /var/ directory stores configuration files or Bins ? :/
