Hello There, Guest! (Login — Register)
What I'm wondering is, if it'll be possible to have a thread, where people who's going studying at a College/University to post resources and research papers or the likes for others who interested in the same subject, to gain more knowledge on their obsession/interests ?
Like say, someone who's studying Anthropology in college/University could post free resources/research papers link or material that they could purchase on some site, that would help anyone interested in Anthropology....
Better yet, you could also post valuable resources for anyone in College/University who's taking the same course as you are. Kind of like a web of resources for anyone who's needing help or interested in the same area or subject as someone in college/University.
I think that Graduates would be better off helping someone taking the same course of they are.
But my point is this thread would have all sorts of links to resources that's available to the public.
Maybe it could also be a section as well, that way you post different threads on different subjects and it'll be more organized that way.....
As the player's breath warms the fipple the tone clears.
It is time to consider how Domenico Scarlatti
condensed so much music into so few bars
with never a crabbed turn or congested cadence,
never a boast or a see-here; and stars and lakes
echo him and the copse drums out his measure,
snow peaks are lifted up in moonlight and twilight
and the sun rises on an acknowledged land.
Hm... you have a point there. If they were just posting links to resources and study tools, then I would approve per se.
Although research papers is a different story, because those can be reused and altered later on. Which isn't a wise idea to share research papers, unless you're just looking at it for inspiration or for a model. Then you have to make sure you're not using that paper for any academic gain.
When I first read the topic titles, I thought it was for a university for us run by us. :S

I personally would find it helpful, provided that resources are offered.
I disagree with posting research papers, and copy righted material. But I also think that it would help if databases, or search engines were posted for specific courses. Even news articles dedicated to the field would help. An entire website devoted to a specific subject would be ok to post. This will give some students a start in whatever research they are interested in partaking. They will at least have ideas as to where to look.
I also would like it for mentoring other aspie students. If students on here are beginning college, and happen to be in the same major of study as another student, then perhaps they can private message, or offer support in other ways. Other than that, if a student has questions about college life, they can feel free to post on these forums (or ask their mentor, should they choose to do that). Mentoring for the same major sounds great.
For general college concerns, I think there needs to be a forum specifically for that overall.
I hope this helped you with perspective on the idea.
That's what the other thread that Aoelienne posted appears to be about: a University specifically for us. I didn't read the whole thread, but I'm sure someone likely mentioned a university for us managed by us.
No. Aeolienne is just concerned that the idea might open the door for people to copy each others research projects (I think). It's a valid concern. Things like that have always been around, even with that purpose in mind.
Maybe you could just say that any research papers posted must be searchable on other sites, and a link must be provided. I think that might be a way to help guard against people just copying someone else's class assignment and turning it in with their name on it.
Friends will let you be who you are. Best friends will never let you forget it. I'm just trying to be everyone's best friend.

Still, they could easily change the words around in the paper.
Well, if it'll get rid this idea that I encourage plagiarism or whatever, than I think it'll be better if we did that D_Olson, so no one would be accused of stealing idea's from others...

Which I, personally, think is a marvelous idea.

Love is a stange word. It's complicated because it means a lot of simple things at the same time.
