Okay now for my real answer:

For me it would depend on the guy. If he is someone who is ignorant or narrow minded shallow, is embarrassed by me, doesn't listen to what I say so I am always talking to a brick wall, expects me to be NT, is a huge hypocrite, procrastinates, then I don't like it. Also if they are like the men on AssPartners by how they are described by women there, I also don't like it.

If it's someone who gets mad at me for my anxiety or when I get upset and doesn't give a ***, forget it. Same as if they are very negative.


Like I say, it depends on what kind of person the aspie is. I could probably be in a relationship with one of my aspie friends who lives in Ohio because he is nice and polite and cares about people and he doesn't seem to be like the sort of people I mentioned above. But he lives too far away so I never dated him and I met my husband instead. Then I find out I could have moved out there and he would have helped me get a place somewhere because he has friends who would have helped me out and we could have found a place together. But too late now for that. plus I bet it be hard to tell what kind of person someone is online unless you are with them in person and in a relationship and that is a risk to take. My last ex sounded naive and innocent online and nice but once I knew him better, he came off as what I said above. He did show his ignorance online too and I assumed (thanks to lack of TOM) that if I can correct him by telling him the correct information he would change his mind and not be ignorant anymore because that is how I work so I thought it be the same for him but wrong. All I did was end up hurting myself from him.

Generally speaking I have a very hard time judging if a girl is just being friendly or interested in me or if they are uncomfortable or whatever.

(Big surprise there right?)

I think of it as a problem with the signal to noise ratio.  

The friendly/flirting/uncomfortable "signals" they think they are broadcasting are just totally inscrutable from all the other things going on.  All I get is static.

So I use a null hypothesis as a kind of a defense mechanism to avoid mistaking friendly for flirting. I simply tell them upfront that if they are interested in me, they will have to make an absolutely obvious first move to declare their intentions, otherwise I will assume they are not.

e.g. If it is not loud and clear, I am going to ignore it as just "noise".

Ironically, many girls, being the perverse and illogical little creatures that they are , just take that as me making the first move.

It is really a no win situation.
