What is it about aspies that girls don't like? I mean most of us are very kind people, but girls always treat us like creeps. Why is that?

Girls think I'm cute, and childish...they might try to take advantage of me. But never man-enough to date. In the end, they always call me too much of a kid.

It's not always like that, and it really does depend on the type of person you're after attracting.

I'm much more interested in alternative girls (metal heads, punks, goths, kinksters etc), and I find they're generally a lot more accepting.

Agh, so many unfounded generalisations I don't know where to start.

Girls don't hate aspie guys.

Confident girls dislike unconfident guys. Unconfident girls don't approach guys because they suffer from the same issues as unconfident guys coupled by the fact that it is not the unwritten social convention to do so. Being NT or AS doesn't come into it.

Being a metal head, punk or goth doesnt come into it either. I've met metal head, punk and goth girls who are just as big tossers as chav or trendy girls.

If anything the former are just snobbish because they constitute the upwardly mobile university league of middle class daddy's girls.

I would describe myself as fairly alternative yet both of my ex's were chav-trendy types.

it's more a case of the right girl than girls in general, there are girls who appreciate qualities that alot of aspies have. i've been in a relationship with a woman way out of my league for almost a year, there must be something she likes about me aside from the music thing.

My goodness - I agree with you Thomas 81! (re-read your last posts and yup 100%)

dating is so tricky though - I am amazed how many people actually do manage to date (but so many also date unsuccesfully and just end up all confused - not being themselves, pretending - I don't (didn't) see the fun in it (I was not interested in dating until I found someone I actually liked - apparently I was picky AND I did not like anyone under 25) I do not know why bother - if someone is interesting - honestly to you - then likely they will be interested in you (if you are interested due to real things - then there is a real connection...)  may be long lasting and/or positive...

what I mean is "quality vs quantity" for some may well be better.

It may be because of Nautral Selection. Wherein females/males choose  the characteristics they are looking for, in a mate.

Because some of our traits do not fit into the normal traits, we are not as appealing.

Even though those traits are not things we do consciously, we still have them

Aloofness

Seeming to lack empathy

Caught up in our own little worlds

Not good at providing, etc.

Even though women/men, are not consciously looking for a mate, when they are looking for someone to date.

The picking of a mate, is hardwired into the human brain.

And here we are thinking it is just about partying, going to movies, and making out.

We just arent a lot of womens/mens cup of tea.

Not all women/men, mind you, but a lot.

I tried telling my girlfriend (now my ex actually) that I was an Aspie. She was just basically in denial with it and wouldn't listen to me. :/

Oh- is everything ok?

She broke up with me 3 days ago for a very selfish reason. Lately she's been very selfish which is making me angry, but at the same time I'm too afraid to talk to her about it because if I bring up one simple thing... she just gets really angry at it and starts fighting with me and being into denial again. I really hate it. But since she left me, I don't want to get back with her (if she ever does) until she fixes up her attitude.
It has nothing to do with being an Aspie though because that was awhile ago when I brought that up.

I haven't had a girlfriend since 2008.... so far its a bit Ugh at the moment..... then again.... the on-line natural selection isn't working either....

What I actually mean to say is this: Sometimes they don't know what they want or what they are looking for in a guy...
