Masterpiece Theatre
One of my interests is Masterpiece Theatre, especially the classics. I'll add to this thread as time goes on.
For now, Wuthering Heights
I also really like the soundtrack to Wuthering Heights by Ruth Barrett. My favorite song is "I found Peace".
But the other songs are good too.
Also, does anyone know exactly the accent they speak with- Is it a Yorkshire accent (I'm from the US so I don't know exactly)? Do people still talk that way, or is it an old fashion accent? I notice they elongate the "o"...or kind of say it like the German ö.

RE: Masterpiece Theatre
*sigh...that link to wuthering heights isn't exactly the true show. it'd be better to watch it on netflix or something. the youtube version is weird and choppy...and different.

WUTHERING HEIGHTS (2009)
Masterpiece Theatre Classic, Tom Hardy
[Based on Emily Brontë's novel 'Wuthering Heights']
These are better links than the one I gave initially. I should have checked the other link more thoroughly (I saw it on netflix originally) so I just skimmed the youtube version. I'm sorry for the bad link.
Here you go:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
Part 7
Part 8
Part 9
Part 10
Part 11

RE: Masterpiece Theatre
"TESS d'URBERVILLES", Thomas Hardy (2008)
Episode 1
Episode 2
Episode 3
Episode 4
It was difficult to get into at first since I did not like any of the actors playing the main characters (for no good reason other than their mouths were too big); but the drama made up for whatever their mouths distracted me from. And it was painfully dramatic. Painfully. Made me think way too much about society, religion, law, bureaucracy, ....
I've said this on the 'random thoughts' thread before, and will restate here: JESUS F*CKING CHRIST.

RE: Masterpiece Theatre
*ahem. Small correction. The title above should read "TESS of the d'URBERVILLES".
