Wink  Welcome to Aspergia Islands: My fictional version of an original idea

Well I was reading on this site something about tropical island resort just for people with Autism. NT's are welcomed as well Big Grin

So all credit goes to whoever came up with the original topic and who ever came up with the idea of a nation for Autism.

I just wanted to contribute my own version and idea's for this Autism nation/tropical resort. So I would thank who/whom came up with the original idea for your inspiration, thank you Big Grin

P.s. I apologize for sounding super child like with this fictional tour and if I offended anyone for any reasons. As to that I apologize in advance

Welcome to Aspergia Islands, a place for people with Asperger's autism, or anything on the spectrum. Every one is welcomed and it's free to visit and always will be.

This is a paradise for all ages and you'll guaranteed to leave after having the best time of your life.

Let's take a tour shall we ?

This is Aspergia Islands. There are several Islands that are grouped in three main area's Aspergia, Haven Islands, the not yet developed New Aspergia.

Here's how the three main area's are grouped:

As you can see, Haven Islands are to the north of Aspergia.
Aspergia is to the south of Haven Islands and New Aspergia is to East. further South you'll reach Party Land, the 24/7 party place paradise Big Grin

Now how about we take an even closer look at the three main area's ?

This is the main Aspergia Island:

Here you do all sorts of activities and even attend the Aspergia day concert, which is a very fun event with over 100 artist's and band's. This annual concert is so big that it makes WoodStock look like 2 hour concert.

People will enjoy all the activities and recreational sports and events that Aspergia has to offer.

Now let's take a look at Party Land shall we ?

Here is Party Land the party that never stops. Here People can Party hearty in a non-stressful safe environment thanks to the new invention of "Super happy Serum" a half alcoholic half medical drink that has no absolute bad side effects or downers. The drink lasts 24 hours and has no crash or bad comedowns what so ever. there is no health risks long term or short term and the ingredients are reusable as its 100% biological. The best part is not even synthetic drug producers/scientist can ever break the secret formula cause the drink was developed by Autism with an unorthodox was of discovering this miracle party drink.

We guarantee you'll never get tired of partying    Wink

Let's move on to New Aspergia shall we ?

New Aspergia:

Is the extension of Aspergia since  Aspergia didn't have enough room for all the fun and excitement Aspergia has to offer.

New Aspergia contains even more activities and recreational sports and it even has a theme park. People will travel the Islands by means of helicopters or super fast vehicles capable of hovering thanks to our super smart scientist.

Our own scientist are Autistic and thanks to our obsessive interests, they are the best in the world.   So not only are these Islands a super paradise but are also a place of modern marvels. Yes Aspergia is the 8th wonder of the world Big Grin

Now last but least here's Haven Islands:

A place for Healing and recovery.

This is the place for those who needs a more better, safer sanctuary. A place a lot better than any Mental hospital/institute. Why ? Because it's ran by Austics for Autistics.

The main goal of Haven Islands is to provide a better experience where the patient doesn't feel locked up or in a threatening place. A place they would want to return to if they ever needed too or ever want to.

Haven Islands is a place for emotional and creature comforts as you'll always be welcomed to stay for how ever long you needed to. There's no abuse or cruel treatment thanks to our awesome scientist developing new medication to help the patient. Best yet these scientist will never ever think for one moment of developing a cure for Autism cause how else would they continue being awesome Big Grin

Well that ends our tour of Aspergia and you are welcomed to stay anytime as it never closes and plenty of people live in paradise world and love working with a smile on their faces.

Hope you enjoyed the tour and thank you Big Grin

Tropical, you say? Ah, too hot for me then. Besides, I wouldn't like all the partying.

I like the idea of a moon colony better. It being more sci-fi too. I might make that one myself.

It will include

Research labs ((for all different kinds of research, from physics to sociology
Cryogenic labs
Living facilities
Communication labs
Entertainment facilities
Android labs
And so on

RE: Welcome to Aspergia Islands: My fictional version of an original idea

A moon colony ? That's actually possible if they could build space stations up in space. The only problem is money plus it'll take years of planning it out and engineering the colony. But hey if you were to say that we'd have technical wonders like the International Space Station 30-40 years ago you'd be laughed at.

Although I do have a weird idea for traveling further than we ever went in space. This is based on those spherical alien ships (The ones that spin) I think that if you were to get enough momentum from our Earths gravity, You could actually launch alien like ships into space without a proportion boost system. And like our satellites in space, the craft could gain more momentum in space by the gravity of other planets. What if you could use magnets that push then pull for the spherical crafts engine ?

RE: Welcome to Aspergia Islands: My fictional version of an original idea

Then you would run into the problem of breaking the conservation of momentum...? Or are you talking about repelling off an external magnetic field?

How about Aspies band together and lay claim to a small moon, such as Titania or Janus, or go even further to somewhere like Orcus? It's going to require a sundiving manuever to get there, after fueling up at L1, but it should be possible to pull off - using chemical and solar thermal, no less. Oh, and the Oberth effect... 10km/s burn where solar escape is 600km/s gives you a delta-V of 110km/s, so you'll pass Jupiter in several months. Still a few years to get to the Kuiper Belt, but...

Luna is too close to Terra for seperation. However, on Orcus, Autists would be able to develop a fluorishing alien civilisation, maybe even with it's own colonies. Suitable comets should be close to hand, several million km away maybe, to be transformed into small Ringworlds, Bernal spheres, and Spirals. Just be careful not to step on the toes of the other civilisations in that area of space - I don't want to be have to sent there by the Commonwealth to deal with some little squabble over territory. Oh, and if you find some canisters of powder in an extrasolar spacecraft, do not give it to your pets, no matter how harmless it may seem to be. If you find an entity buried in a comet in what looks to be a prison, do not attempt to revive it. If you find eggs, place them in suitable storage - robotically, or with very good environment suits - and wait for a Commonwealth transport to take them to a secure facility, out of the plane of the ecliptic, for research.

Now you have the crucial advice, you're ready to move out to Orcus.

Nah, Mars is where its at... native water supplies, atmosphere sustaining gravity, less erratic climate, amazing geological sights and potential for terraforming.

Problem is getting there, though the moon doesnt exactly circumvent that problem either.

Mars lacks a planet-wide magnetic field. So it isn't a whole lot more liveable than the moon.

Pah, don't need a magnetic field. Venus doesn't have one, but look at it's cloudtops - 0.9g of gravity, 1bar pressure, 0-50c temperature range, water, radiation protection...

To be honest, most places could be made liveable. Neptunes clouds, anyone?

But I say Orcus. It's small and far away enough that few people will mind it being claimed in totality by a group. What's Terra going to do, send Battlestars?

Also, I'm actually serious: I think that, if we've expanded into space enough in several decades time, a group of Autists should strike out on their own.

Mainly because I want some decent alien civilisations, and natural evolution is too slow to give them to me before I die... Smile

I like it (I suspended reality to enjoy the premise) the way you wrote was soothing to me.  I imagined the "woodstock concert/party place" as being there - but far enough away that I did not have to go there.  But I liked that it was there.  The more adventurous sorts (the cousins and nt's and excitement seeking aspies could visit there and then come back to the quiet parts when they were ready to chill.... I might even pop over for a few minutes.. or do a drive by via boat...

I think your imagination is nice Smile

Oh - I just clicked on the larger pictures link - easier to read- LOVE the home cooked meal area!

RE: Welcome to Aspergia Islands: My fictional version of an original idea

Well actually I used the GIMP (Gnu's Image Manipulation Program) to create those maps. I used the create land mass rendering plug in (Or whatever it's called) for GIMP. And thank you Big Grin

This was something I used to do on notebook paper. I used to trace out little islands and draw arrows and stuff to create my own little history for the Island.

I imaged these really high tech vehicles that transport people all over the Island in a heart beat. But because matter transportation devices (Like the ones off of Star Trek) were so dangerous, our Aspie scientist were cunning and invented high speed vehicles instead Big Grin

Maybe I should had put that their little mini hospitals all through the Island and Haven Islands were meant for a more comfortable mental health clinic. Not the ones where your locked up 24/7 in a facility, but one that actually makes progress that takes normal mental institutes years to accomplish. I was thinking that because the doctors are so good with coping and restraining techniques (Non harmful nor humiliating) that they actually allow their patients to go outside and play on a playground or do various activities.

Well it's more like the doctors have advance medications that isn't addicting nor makes them see things. It's like a all natural secret formula that repairs their psychological mind and helps them recover faster Big Grin

I wanted to have places of every activity or hobby that you could think of. Places that Aspies can make friends with like-minded people and/or learn new things Big Grin

Imagine if eahc person could have an area where they "teach/tell/instruct/ give speeches etc.," about a special interest.

One could/would perhaps "sign up" for a 10 minute, 15 minutes or longer "session".  (or longer of course...)

imagine an artist showing/telling ideas or an IT guy "teaching" the very first words/letters/charecters of a language (computer)

there would have to be a gal teaching or speaking Klingon right?

gaming areas - come here to hear about ____ game...

oh - of course - the comeddian "stand=up" section.  everyone would know the person speaking was joking - most would not need it, but for those who do a routine as the dead-pan-straight guy (my favorite kind of humor - lol reminds me of my Dad...and I hear me- they all say I need a "sign" to tell when I was joking.  (except my hubby who can always tell)

LOL
