OT, marioLuvsbowser, I love your new avatar! Is that you in the photo? (I know it's Mario since I can see the M on the red cap and the 'tache! Way to work around my face-blindness!)

RE: You can't bleach the autism out of your child
Well I just read the Article and there's a couple of things I'd like to quote from it like:
"Autism one is an annual conference whose stated mission is to educate “parents, professionals, and the public about the care, treatment, recovery and prevention of autism and related disorders by making critical information available through new channels as well as traditional ones.” Educational therapies (such as behavior, speech and occupational therapy) and medication (antipsychotics, antidepressants and others ) would be considered “traditional” while the “new channels” referred to tend to be in the area of experimental biomedical treatments, often drawn from complementary and alternative medicine."
So these people think bleaching your child would get rid of Autism with alternative medicine ? Since when is Sodium Chloride considered medication, alternative or not ?
"MMS can cure almost anything: cancer, AIDS, and just about any other serious disease you can imagine."
Is that there excuse for using MMS to cure Autism cause it's a serious disease ? I don't think so. Such ingnorance!
This is horrible!
Sodium chloride is a medication. You'll find it in a saline drip, for example.

It's laundry bleach. There is a spelling mistake. It is Sodium hypochlorite. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_hypochlorite
Ever notice the label on the laundry bleach?
The skull and cross bones -- POISON
and the corrosive label - the liquid burning the skin
AND PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GIVE THIS TO CHILDREN TO DRINK AND PUT INTO THEIR BODIES???????

Yeah, sodium hypochlorite is laundry bleach, but sodium hypochloride is common salt.

Some days I do feel like I'm your age Shrek. I mean with my back problems and sore joints. But I've never heard of those shows before. Are they like early 60's late 50's ? I have seen Mission Impossible but only on Netflix though

Yeah, sodium hypochlorite is laundry bleach, but sodium hypochloride is common salt.
Common salt is sodium chloride, NaCl
Isn't it illegal to give poisons to children as a medication? Don't they have to be approved by the appropriate authority?
Even common salt, NaCl, can be very toxic to children in relatively small doses. My 3-year-old daughter (NT - I think) goes more than a little crazy when she eats salty snack foods.

If you read the initial link - I see that there was only one place doing this - or talking about doing it anyway - who knows if they actually have gotten anyone to come out (to MEXICO) to let people do that (a long with a list od other things like diet/ like gluten free etc,) to their kids. The "info" was in english and the dollar amounts for "Services" were in english - but the location was in Mexico.
My answer to the isn't it illegal" ? Well - I think if this was happening in the US (or UK) or New Zealand, Ireland etc., well - I do not think it would happen. A scam - is what I think...
Who is an "approproate authority" in Mexico?- Is it illegal to talk about stuff (chelation etc.,) (alas, I do not think they actually do any of this - I note they take "donations" on Paypal - I think hoping someone (rich people from the US for example) will think they are giving to a "Charity".)

RE: You can't bleach the autism out of your child
From Wiki, some interesting facts about sodium chlorite. Particularly interesting is the one where it becomes explosive in certain conditions. Which is a bit of a worry if they're feeding little kids with it, performing enemas and having them bathe in it:
Sodium chlorite, like many oxidizing agents, should be protected from inadvertent contamination by organic materials to avoid the formation of an explosive mixture. The chemical explodes on percussive impact, and will ignite if combined with a strong antioxidant (reducing agent).
Toxicity
Sodium chlorite is a strong oxidant and can therefore be expected to cause clinical symptoms: methemoglobinemia, hemolysis, renal failure. A dose of 10-15 grams of sodium chlorate can be lethal. Methemoglobemia had been demonstrated in rats and cats.
There is only one human case in the medical literature of chlorite poisoning. Even small amounts of about 1 gram can be expected to cause nausea, vomiting and even life-threatening hemolysis in Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase deficient persons.
