Hello Lee. As an ASD adult myself with a prolonged diagnosis I can relate to your plight.
Don't give up on life or other people yet. Its still not too late for things to get better.

p.s- You're 40 so you still have a lot of time for relationships and stuff. Don't worry, eventually it gets better.
