Ambitious about Autism

Is AFF affiliated with ambitious about autism?

It seems very different from Autism Speaks- anyone have experience with this? Opinions?

I think it's very much dependent on our will power. Where there is a will there is a way. Will power makes achievable any thing.

Not necessarily.  There's lots of things that are simply impossible to achieve.

I don't believe AFF is affiliated with any organisation.

I knew about Treehouse, and had heard about this group but hadn't realised they were the one and the same.

Alison, I hate to break this to you, but you just had another moment of empathy with a spambot.

RE: Ambitious about Autism

Treehouse was the name of a school that a small group of parents built for their autistic kids because there was nothing appropriate.

Ambitious about Autism is the charity that has grown from that and they have done really well promoting a positive image of autism.

There are quite a few small charities with a similar agenda around the country.
They are loosely affiliated together under the banner of the Autism Alliance.

I have only had dealings with a few of these members but they have all been positive so far.

The US will have many similar small charities providing support and services for people with autism so that they can achieve their full potential.

Unfortunately in the US all that most people hear is Autsqueaks message that autism is a tragedy.

That is why I think we need to start talking about about getting ourselves in the media and becoming known.
