Best pizza topping?

Either chilli beef or pepperoni for me.

Anything which is moderately or heavilly spicy. Except chicken.

For some reason I can't stand tomato and chicken together. Unless its in a creamy curry.

I am almost never sarcastic.

I has a chocolate and cream pizza in Slovenia once and it was pretty good.

Ugh. I will take your word for it.

Thinking about it makes me want to throw up.

RE: Best pizza topping?

I always, without exception, get plain cheese pizza.

I am a very bland person.

RE: Best pizza topping?

Potatoes make a surprisingly good pizza topping.

in fairness, i know someone who loves banana on pizzas. not only that but with other things, like chicken and so on. i declined to try it myself.... i guess people have pineapple on pizza though so it's not that weird. actually i like pineapple on pizza, but then i like almost anything.

RE: Best pizza topping?

When I was working just across the border from Northern Italy, we did a weekend trip into Venice one day. We sat down at a cafe in the main square and ordered pizza. I've got to admit that it was good but nothing special. One of our group asked if they had Hawaiian pizza. The waiter looked confused. He explained that it was ham and pineapple. The waiter still looked confused. I pointed out that Italians don't do those sort of toppings. So he ordered something else.

For me, supreme pizza with plenty of pineapple and olives and various meats is the go. On a gluten-free base to minimise the after-effects. Chocolate pizza was a one-off, I liked it but I couldn't eat it every day (for a start I'd weigh about 400 pounds if I did).

My son likes to take just about everything off a pizza before he eats it. Sometimes he even takes the cheese off. He would like the pizza I tried in Rome in 1999 - really just some nice bread with a tomato paste and herb spread on top, and grilled. Excellent. I think they do the cheesy pizzas mainly for the tourists.
