Aspergian flag

Well I noticed there'd been some discussion on this, so i decided to throw my hat in with a couple of my own designs. Feel free to comment, either positively or negatively

Proposal 1

The black and white bars represent our tendency to see the world in binary terms.

The blue cog represents the future, and progress.

Proposal 2

The black and white bars of binary values are at the top left.

The shades of blue represent the positions of the autistic spectrum. Also the sea, sky and space - forward thinking in our endeavours.

I like the second option better.

What is it with blue and Autism... no blue, unless mixed with red and white.

It needs to symbolise something about Autism. So, what should it symbolise? Before a flag, get the concepts.

No chance of incorporating the creepy Aspergia rune? Or the infinity symbol? Maybe an infinite cog?

I don't understand the significance of the infinity symbol.

How about a ying yang roundel? I think following the 2 tone theme should be relevant to us.

I believe the infinity symbol was to suggest infinite possibility, as well as being something no-one can understand.

I think whatever symbol is chosen has to represent that Autists are very different from each other, while being tied together in some way.

I've got it. Let's make a neural map of an Aspie's brain and turn it into the flag. I nominate the secret love-child of William Cottrell and Phillipa Brown. You know they have one!

RE: Aspergian flag

If we wanted to scare people that we were going to take over the world, we could have a red flag, with a white sphere in the centre and a black puzzle piece inside that.

Or maybe the Batman logo with the Riddler question mark around it, hee hee...

Please, let's let the puzzle piece die.  It's done us no good to have people romanticizing misunderstanding.
