Have coworkers ever knowingly pushed your buttons?

This happened almost a year ago, but it keeps replaying in my memory. Its bothering me that this has bothered me so long.

At the job I left six months ago, there was a guy who several times tried to start a conversation with me. Not being great at small talk, I would try to gracefully exit after a few sentences. However, he would follow me around asking increasingly personal questions (where I live, what I do away from work) until I would be forced to ungracefully exit. One day, he stopped me in the middle of my store in front of another coworker and complained that I supposedly give off signals that I don't like him. Maybe I should have punched him in the face right there, but I tried to do the thing that wouldn't get me fired on the spot and just avoided him for the rest of the day. I never saw him again. Dunno if he quit, got fired, or what. This was the worst, but there were several other people there who got to me who I may vent about later.

Has anything like this ever happened to anyone?

Have coworkers ever knowingly pushed your buttons?

yes but they had to get to know me first to understand what they were.

This person was just being friendly.  Asking questions like where do you live (you do not have to give an address just a general location) and what are your hobbies are fine.  If someone asks if you pooed that day and what colour your underwear is -- that is a personal question.

Yes and being friendly is considered part of the job these days.  We are forced to ask our coworkers about their boring weekends and endure those chitchats about stupid television shows.  You can pretend so much to keep your job.

I had a supervisor who single handedly caused me a meltdown that culminated in me taking 3 months off work sick.

Yes, I have. I think to this day it was all out of jealousy toward me.
