RE: Scientists Link Gene Mutation to Autism Risk

First off, I think any publication referring to the Autism Spectrum as a "disease", is created by people who don't care about actual people on the Autism Spectrum, or are looking to make quick cash by providing a "answer" to the parents who are desperately looking for a reason why they weren't born a Barbie or Ken doll of a child.

The age thing, it's correlation not causation. How many fathers over the age of 35 did they have as a part of this study? How many of those fathers had children on the Autism Spectrum? Did they study fathers who had children after the age of 35 who had Neurotypical children?

This study just screams, "Hey look everyone, we've got a very tiny piece of evidence, that proves Autism might be genetic, and there is a way of avoiding it! Don't have babies with men over 35! Give us money!"
