He is non-verbal because is translator is broken beyond repair. But that's for human speech, nothing say's he cannot comunicate normally with the other Autobots. Also he does communicate too with human. He is more like a mute that learn sign language.

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple with a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves and satin candles, and say we've no money for butter.I shall sit down on the pavement when I am tired and gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells and run my stick along the public railings and make up for the sobriety of my youth.I shall go out in my slippers in the rain and pick the flowers in other people's gardens. And learn to spit...

Someone once said in a YouTube comment that the computer Mel in the last episode of the Super DuckTales serial is autistic because he stutters or something. I fail to see how stuttering makes one autistic, though.

If they take my hand, will it be to burn me or to say amen?

[quote=Vampslord]But that's for human speech, nothing say's he cannot communicate normally with the other Autobots.

Expect for the movies and related media.

If  you watch the movie you might notice that when they speak Cybertronese that it is subtitled.

Huh? Autobots on the spectrum? I am now confused.... BumbleBee was my favorite autobot too. He is still my favorite autobot.

Hm... maybe I watched too much College University back during my tween/early teen days. :-/

I <3 BumbleBee ^_^; Welcome to the forum, Altaica.

Transformers was a TV show before they claimed "Based on the Action Figures" in the Movie credits.... first it was the Early Transformers episodes, then Beast Wars, then after Beast Wars was Beast Machines, then after that was Transformers.....

Thanks for that explanation, Genesis.  I was totally confused there, wondering what on earth you were all talking about!  So it's a kids show - I had thought for a moment that researchers had found evidence of autism in the insect that makes honey!
