It's probably intended to point out what actually is rather silly when you think about it. The same exact baby with the same level of neurological and bodily development is protected when outside the womb but not when within the womb. Why is that?

I used to be entirely pro-choice myself, these days I lean towards the standard of "if there's any neurological tissue, do not abort" and as neurological tissue develops very early on, it's kinda impossible to sanely abort.
