I don't know about the founding fathers being Templars. Most of the character's targets in the concept art I saw were wearing red, as in the British military uniforms of the time. Apparently, he's allying himself with George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and other important figures of the time.

Well, I guess we'll learn more as we get closer to the release date.
