RE: Are We In A Matrix(Illusion?)
I think that "mm" would be a lot more fun, at least in its climax!
Climaxes are usually fun.
Oops, wrong thread.

RE: Are We In A Matrix(Illusion?)
No one seems to understand my point.
That is probably because it is pointless.
Do I take it you want the person who choose it in the poll to explain themselves? I doubt they're going to. Probably expect to be made fun of.
Chris Christie is so fat, I was giving a presentation and he ate my pie charts.

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

RE: Are We In A Matrix(Illusion?)
I think that we should explore ideas without making fun. If someone wants to claim that Islam, Christianity, or any other religion has all of the answers then why should they not explain themselves?
A lot of you seem to think that the scientific worldview has all of the answers. You are more than free with your opinions. No one makes fun of you. Why not let them share their opinion and at least attempt to understand it?

Any scientist would have to say they're still researching, etc, though. I merely suggest the person might not wish to say anything here, they've voted & that might be all they want to do.

The five poll choices aren't all that inclusive to begin with.
At the same time, few theists I've met on internet or in real life can describe how they "have all the answers" while avoiding a condescending attitude simultaneously. I haven't known many "polite yet confident" theists.

How about this, from the "fantasy story writing" area of my brain:
We Autists are recording devices from the future, retro-engineered to be able to interact (on a limited scale) and observe (on a wider scale) and download our memories for future generations to view what their ancestors got up to. So we're not actually an "Autism Epidemic" as some have suggested, but just an increasingly successful type of organic DVD.
Check everywhere on your body, you may find a birthmark in the shape of an Apple.

Everything is really huge, that is what i like, even that comma is the space of about three trillion atoms... We might look at our fingernails and see a giant lake or a giant mountain... that's what it is really.
even on the surface we are still in space.
even beneath our surfaces we are still in space.

Why would the future time recorders choose us?

You have a way with language! That is my kind of prose/poetry.

That's a nice thought, and I tend to look at things in a similar way. It's all about perspective really. At the other end of the scale, I like to think of the entire universe as the rainbow sheen quivering on an early-morning drop of dew.

I have thought like that before! It is very fun and important at the same time to explore perspectives. They are very good for stress relief and a great cure for "boredom" which is just a perspective in and of itself.
sometimes people whether they are aspies or not are not being encouraged to do so. I suppose if the idea of many alternate perspectives was enjoyed schools and parenting would be different. arguments would be different and conflicts would be resolved differently if "being a person" was not so rigid for so many!
people have been saying that for millennia upon millennia, but i wanted to write it as well. :0
