I got a few of those books.  I love them too!  So pretty.  I want a whole shelf of them.

This is a somewhat depressing thread.

I want some of Barnes and Noble's Leatherbound Classics

They're really extravagant, some would say overdone but I wants them all.

And, this coat which is the most perfect coat to have ever existed. Fact.

I want my own cozy country home in the Irish countryside and a second Jack Russell terrier to be a buddy for my Dillon-dog.  I'd like my home to be a short walk to a village full of friendly people.  I think I would hire someone to help me take care of the property and cook me meals so I could spend all of my time writing books.

I want a cobalt blue Hemingray No. 42 insulator without any nicks, cracks or abrasions, but such insulators are pretty expensive because they're very scarce.

You want money, foreign traveler. With a hundred dollars you can get a first time U.S. passport and money will take you on whatever airline you choose. Plus money for hotels and maybe a rental car.

And driver for car if you cant drive.

If I was filthy rich I would
1. Replace my real books with e books, give away the old ones
2. Get DVD copies of the hundreds of VHS tapes give those away
3. Retire
4. Get a motorcycle, ride a steel horse, and see America
5. Do something about 12 21 2012, buy land on high ground, a cave, and stock it with provisions

I would like a nice place to live (or what my husband likes), new cars for both of us, new sewing/embroidery machine, new toaster oven and a baby.  Yes you can buy babies, it is called foreign adoption.

Uh, probably about four or five cars and three houses/apartments. Private jet. A few new wardrobes (clothes, not the furniture.) That sort of thing. Who doesn't want that stuff? Oh and incidentally are there any countries where slavery is still perfectly legal?

RE: Things you want but can't afford

This limited edition musical porcelain doll designed by the retired artist I like on eBay. This particular doll is about 32" and is part of an edition of 500. She is also part of a series of four dolls representing the seasons. I already have the Fall doll, and have seen the Spring and Summer dolls for $70 but this Winter doll I keep seeing in near mint condition is being sold for almost $500 and the cheaper one I saw is missing her fur hat and muff and her coat! The seller has more dolls by the same artist for VERY high prices. I love this artist's work but this would bankrupt me easily! I have included a link so you can see what the doll looks like!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Betty-Jane-Carte...1c2e8b8edb

The coat that is missing is red and has a white fur muff on a ribbon. The doll that was complete was sold.
