RE: I want to live in another country...

For the record, I don't recommend moving to the UK. People in the UK want out because of the lack of jobs and the austerity measures. For Europe, I'd say the Netherlands or France is where its at.

Now that France has a left wing government they are more likely to be investing in jobs and growth.

Every 2nd taxi driver in Australia has a higher degree in IT. Well it seems that way to me, at least, based on conversations with taxi drivers (which usually start out something like "What do you do? IT? Me too, I have a masters in IT from the university of Mumbai/Bangalore/Chennai").

And DIAC is after them as well. Many "students" come here, disappear into the community, overstay and end up driving taxis. Worst that can happen? Free plane trip back home.

Rule 1. Never, ever, give up (mind blanks excepted)
Rule 2. Refer to rule 1.

Bad advice. If you ever plan to return, overstaying screws up your chances. Besides, as an illegal immigrant you are open to abuse by illegal employers and your rights as well as recourse to state help is non existant.

It is time to consider how Domenico Scarlatti
condensed so much music into so few bars
with never a crabbed turn or congested cadence,
never a boast or a see-here; and stars and lakes
echo him and the copse drums out his measure,
snow peaks are lifted up in moonlight and twilight
and the sun rises on an acknowledged land.

RE: I want to live in another country...

Native citizens need preference from their government. Their government tries to protect their interests when abroad. That is why surrendering foreign citizenship is essential in America, to have no other master, although other countries usually recognize lifetime rights for their native citizens, see when custody battles go overseas. A native citizen in America, esp. one who knows only English, has Nowhere Else to Go for a job. Even in my case, knowing Spanish for example, Mexico has many restrictions on foreigners.

Most places by custom or law foreigners have limited equality, so why do we work at being different?

The argument against so called anchor babies is that the parents may not be subject to US law, but have foreign allegiance, and the protection of their governments. Without a formal legal procedure to abandon foreign citizenship who is to say what allegiance a foreigner has? Simply being born here is no indication of allegiance and our fourteenth amendment specifies "under the jurisdiction thereof" which presumably excludes foreigners, according to opponents.

How is Canada for emigration? I would not want to take a job from a lifetime Canadian.
