Issues with another member. Pikajedi said it was supposed to be a 24 hour ban.

What time did he get banned?

I'm not sure exactly. I think Pikajedi's post was a little over an hour ago yesterday, so I would have thought the ban would be lifted by now.

I gave Kapkao clear instructions, then a caution, and he continued.

As such, he was banned for 24 hours for Defiance of Staff Instructions.

The ban was at 18:28, according to the Administrator logs; Temporary Bans expire at midnight. I'll unban now, as it has been 25 hours.

Kapkao is generally pretty cool, but if a member of staff says to stop something, you bloody well stop.

To put it another way; It's better that I gave him a 24hr ban to cool off, than let him continue and possibly talk his way into a ban proper, no?

I honestly don't understand a lot of the hostility being thrown about - I've seen a few things in the report queue regarding "personal attacks" from both sides of the argument and I'm just scratching my head trying to see it.

Its hard to get a clear picture with these issues.... its always a bit fuzzy

Of course, it doesn't help that I'm the only moderator still actually active. Tend to have a mite less patience, what with all the extra work. At least by banning quite literally half the worlds population from accessing the site I've fixed our spam problem.

IMO, only, gedrene has a posting style similar to Fnord and Bloke. Who were not well recieved, either.

With the anti SOPA thing on the home page it just struck me as a bit funny.
Not that I'm complaining, hell no. Do what needs to be done.

Gedrene is also far more interested in point scoring than anything else. Just my opinion.
