Jesus is REAL
This is a note for all those people who don't know Jesus.
He is REAL. He is very relevant in my life and He has made a huge difference in the way I value my existence. Before Jesus I was angry, arrogant and self-absorbed. I felt sorry for myself that I was autistic but didn't see the hope that followed.
Now, Jesus has given me hope and my outlook on life has changed dramatically. I am now friends with many Christians (at least 50 are on my Facebook page). I am not even afraid to share my faith anymore.
This is the direct testimony of how Christ truly saved my life. And, I must give all credit back to Him because nothing is my doing whatsoever.
So, that is why I am a Christian.

RE: Jesus is REAL
I find this somewhat annoying. What is with the wording exactly?
We know Jesus insofar as he existed. Thus we also know he was real. We just doubt the Bible, and with good reason. I wonder if adhering yourself to a ready-made community was just a quick way out.

RE: Jesus is REAL
Oh boy, I like where this thread is surely headed.
You're entitled to your religion, but that entitlement stops where it impinges on the happiness or freedoms of others.
Also, "Was" real, as in there was a dude nailed to a piece of tree named Jesus. I've yet to see any proof for the rest of the mythology.
Jesus promised the end of wicked people, whilst Odin promised the end of Ice Giants. I don't see many Ice Giants about!

I find that believing in Gobbledoks makes me happy. Therefore they are real.

We haven't gotten to morality legislation, abortion, evolution or polycotton yet...

RE: Jesus is REAL
Jesus Christ is not real.
He doesn't exist.
Religion is a comfort blanket for weak minded fools and a device for power, control and financial gain for others.
Those are some of my beliefs.
Chances are, they'll be considered more offensive than saying "Jesus is real...".
Of course I can't prove he isn't real any more than you could prove otherwise. What a load of utter nonsense.

RE: Jesus is REAL
Whatever works for you.
I have a lot of respect for Jesus as a historical figure. He seems to me like the Gandhi of his time. Because of what he taught his followers (specifically peace and non-violence), the Romans had a hard time holding control in Jerusalem.
I do find it amusing, as an atheist, when I hear Christians talking about being oppressed or afraid to talk about their faith. This isn't directed specifically toward the original poster, but the next time you think it isn't safe to talk about being a Christian, try telling some random stranger that you're an atheist. You might get lucky and find an open-minded person, or, more likely, you'll get blasted for being a non-believer (I hate that term, by the way).
Friends will let you be who you are. Best friends will never let you forget it. I'm just trying to be everyone's best friend.

Agreed. And yet I find that telling people I am an atheist has a much better outcome than when I used to tell people that I am agnostic.
