Does anyone know how to clean a Kindle Fire?

Also, when I got it out of the box, it looked like whoever made the glass lost a hair in the glass. Is this a small crack?

If it is a crack you should be able to feel it if you press down slightly and run your fingertip across it.

In terms of cleaning, I wouldn't use a bucket of sudsy water.

Or you could try google. I came up with this:

^ agree

also would save the hair, the person who lost it may be bald and might want it back

of course if it is cracked you will need to contact customer service to RMA it back for replacement

For most electronics, you would use a soft cloth. Slightly damp is okay for any parts that don't have contacts (and by the way, don't touch the contacts with your hands). The important things is to not get any moisture inside the unit.

On the other hand, if it is cracked, you should send it back and ask for a replacement.

Let me add here not to use anything made from paper on the screen, as it can leave scratches.

Ah, I see, googled it.  I honestly thought it was some new form of heating!

If it's a hair inside the screen, contact Amazon, they'll give you an RMA and replace it.

If it's a crack, again, contact Amazon and they'll RMA it.

I didn't even think about the hair being inside the screen. To clean that out, you would need to get inside the unit, which would void the warranty, which means you would need to send it back.

Oh, I can barely see it... I don't think I need to send it back.
