A few activism suggestions

I think we all know why we're on this part of Aspies For Freedom.

We're here to take action and disrupt the lives of those out to cure autism and those who think that we are just a bunch of brain-dead ignoramuses.

I've been actively campaigning online against Autism Speaks for some time by playing havoc with their email accounts, but I'm just here to add one or two suggestions about how you can disrupt Autism Speaks and its associates.

What I've been doing is signing up to their 'E-Speaks' mail shots under an e-mail address from within Autism Speaks so it looks like the sign up is from within the company. When the e-mail addresses ran out, I just used e-mail addresses of companies that I didn't like. Until recently, it was possible to put whatever you liked in the 'Name' boxes - fun times were had! Unfortunatly, it has now been rectified. You can still put 'Dick' in the first name box and 'Heads' in the second. Personally I think that all aspies should do that at least five times. Go and have some fun!

What I also do is create 'team fundraising' websites via the 'Create Event' link on the Autism Speaks website, such as http://givenow.autismspeaks.org/anonymous2
I've used God and the Afghanistan Embassy in London as fake IDs. Basically, either create a fake event or join mine!

You could also create a website detailing how much you hate Autism Speaks, like I did here
http://apspeak.webs.com

Of course, utilise whatever form of activism suits you, whether it be protests or trolling, but in the meantime boycott Toys R Us, General Motors and the rest of the companies listed here http://www.autismspeaks.org/about-us/cor...rtnerships
(They are the main sources of income for Autism Speaks)

Have fun, and remember why you're doing this!

Yeah and on our homepage (and some threads by Gareth) it is CLEAR that we do not engage in that sort of thing...fake events? does not seem right at all...etc., AFF does not promote that...

Scarwood - you have - what 2 posts - I don't know that you "know why we're on this part of Aspies For Freedom" as stated.
(you are not part of the WE yet - I hope you will read the aims and goals...)

also I am not sure there are really people that think we are brain dead ignoramuses.  (AGAIN that also is NOT a part of our stated goals at AFF)
