That is incredibly unfair to Amy and Gareth, who have worked so hard to create this wonderful community and spread the message of autistic self-advocacy. It is unfair to PJ who is an exceptional administrator.

I posted some articles, all of which I have worked all day long, day after day to produce.

I'm not an administrator, I'm a very hard working member. That is all. My opinions are my own. My effort is for this website and the opportunity to continue doing what I love.

I deleted a post (with nothing in it I might add). I worked incredibly hard to produce this Autism Speaks interview. I'm not a spy, as flattering as the suggestion is. I wish someone was paying me, but alas, no one is.  

I LIVE AT HOME WITH MY PARENTS! I am no one special. I am merely a passionate, hardworking autistic young man.

You know what? That would be fine by me. At least he says and does things, and doesn't just ignore people when difficult questions are asked. I think that would be a 100% improvement.

well, we differ. It bothers me that others may think he has anything to do with running AFF.
In profiles, the section for Websites is meant for your own personal site. AFF is not HIS site.

And yes, there is a link to AFF in my profie on wrongplanet (a site I rarely frequent) only because I want to get my writing exposed. I have every right to do this, I worked very hard on it.

Why would you deny me my efforts? I've invested a great deal of effort in this site. Perhaps, instead of harassing me, you all could do something meaningful in the name of self-advocacy.

Autism Speaks, who so many of you have bickered about, has volunteered to listen to you all on this thread, and instead, you are bickering about me.

Do any of you want anything more than to squabble uselessly?

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed and everyone who has voiced their appreciation for my efforts. The rest of you... find something productive to do.

As with many profiles, the layout is fixed and restrictive so people often provide information isn't an exact fit for the pro forma.  Lots of members at WP list websites which they are involved in, but which they don't run.

If anyone cares to follow the link from WP they'll see someone who is actively and enthusiastically doing stuff, and getting criticised by others over minor, petty details.

Well, no, we're just assuming they're going to check up on the responses. It's not like they're going to give a reply.

What we're doind here is figuring out how we feel about the situation.

If they want to listen, they can come here and talk. We're not going to put up a show for someone hiding in the bushes and watching us through binoculars. They can bring the candy to us. Then we can tell them what we think of it.

I don't understand why people feel the way they do about tambourine-man. He seems like a good guy. An optimistic, energetic puppy eager to help advocate for autism. People are nervous he is working for Autism Speaks. I don't think he is. People fear what is different and he seems to have come here out of nowhere, but you have to start somewhere. When I was new here people weren't all that nice to me because I was weird and admitted my butthole obsession and assumed I was a troll. I am "different". Always have been. Isn't that part of having aspergers? And maybe tam-man is biting off more than he can chew with this. I don't know.
