RE: Autism Speaks, Our enemy (redux3)

I agree with you also skyblue! - I FEEL like THAT group MUST apologize ! I wish they would.  Again, Who is "they"?  SO many heads, so many layers!

I WISH they would change their name - take all the money with them - rename themselves, whatever.

I wish that the group who did all those terrible things - you mention some in your first post of this thread - would recharter and affirm that they are so sorry for how awful "they" acted.

I have been educating people in my community about the wrongs they have committed and have seen parents who deal with that organization start to steer their local groups in better directions.

I do wish they could just disappear - particularly their name and everything that I associate with it.

I wish they could admit and CHANGE into what potentially could be a group of people that do a lot of GOOD>

I find that the people that are TRYING to do good are good people, the grass roots are wanting to do good.

SKYBLUE - the fact is though, no matter what I wish, I know they are not going anywhere.
I may FEEL sick when I think of that fund raising mammouth - but I try to hope eventually science will (more obviously) be on our side and loving parents will rule instead of fear.

P>s.  I found this after I found other threads - I stand by what I wrote on tambs thread regarding ignoring aut sqks.  This may be the time to get a peak into what direction they SAY they are going.

The fact is that so many groups and politics etc., are solely based on where the money is.  Greed is an enemy.  Most people aren't.
