Autspks has always been our enemy

They should be apologising to every adult Autist on this planet

There should be apologies to every parent of an Autistic child everywhere

I demand an apology

I demand the resignation of their money grabbing board

I demand the halt to all of their research into the 'cause' and cures for Autism

I demand that there stockpile of monies be turned over to ASAN
where a splinter group perhaps called We.Speak could be formed

There should be ASAN or WE.Speak marches where money could be gathered for treatments of the children and those adults who have not managed to join society.

This has always been our desire here at AFF

There can be no greater actvism for Autists than to wipe all vestiges of AutSpks from this planet.

Any interviews conducted should be in public (radio,TV, live webcast) where all of us can see and judge them for ourselves.

The interview should be conducted by a trusted member of the membership here.

For those new members who question the stars under my name.

Look at the top of this page and see which forum you are on

there is a stickied thread (  http://www.aspiesforfreedom.com/showthread.php?tid=13210 ) where you can follow the instructions. Give your introduction stateing you activism. Anti AutSpks.....Pro AutSpks.....you wish to do activism for the children or the adults. Whatever your activism.

You will probably then recieve your own stars.

Its simple, join us. Lets bring the activism part of our board back to life, with new blood and fresh ideas.

And for goodness sakes lets bring AutSpks crashing down to earth, no longer able to bother Autists anywhere

DOWN WITH AUTISM SPEAKS

Up with We.Speak

I agree Skyblue1! I work with someone who has a young child who is Autistic. I noticed a while back that they were doing a walk to raise money for an Autism cure, and guess who? was listed as one of the Sponsors. I wonder what all these Autisic children would say if they had their own voices? They are still children, but we are Adults, and it is our responsibilty to tell the world how Autistics feel. And to tell the world that we are NOT broken, and therefore do not need to be fixed.

That is outrageous. The child’s parents should be ashamed of themselves.  Even the puzzle pieces show off that we are “broken” in a way. Which is pure and utter bullshi*.

My point is that the puzzle pieces should be gotten rid of and this idea of We.speak is brilliant. However one problem is… funding. Auspeaks has so many supporters that will try and prevent We.speak from having a say in anything. But if Wespeak is able to convince the people that Auspeaks is evil, corrupt and damn right insane. Maybe funding will go up…

And the funding for Auspeaks will hopefully go down. You never know. There is always some rich madman/woman out there that will continue to fund. Someone even more evil than Mr Burns…

If he were a real person.

Yes, it is. It was pretty awkward for me, because I didn't know how to address it without upsetting or offending this person who I have worked with for ELEVEN years. Also, something that really disables me in these situations is the fact that I still don't have an official diagnosis. So I'm taking the low key approach. I posted on Facebook about the documentary "Loving Lampposts" which is a really good documentary about Autistic children, their parents, and a couple Adults Autists. She responded to my post with a message, asking more about the movie, and I told her that it's on Netflix, and told her that I am self diagnosed with Autism, and that if she ever has any questions about it, to feel free to ask me. I didn't push it further than this, and we work completely different shifts, so I see her maybe once every few months at the most. I'm not really certain what is the best direction to go from here... And I don't know if they should be ashamed of themselves, because they don't know better. So how to educate them?
