Alright I was asked to move my anti-Autism Speaks extracts from my novels to this section.

From the 1st

Jake turned to face Leek "So if you have Asbergers, how do you feel about Autism Speaks?" Leek made eye contact with Jake "They're nothing but a bunch of offensive, money-making Communists. How much money donated to them goes towards autistics do you think Jake?" Jake thought for a moment then responded " Most of it a guess" Leek shook his head, the tone in his voice kept getting angrier. He replied "Wrong answer, none of it. It goes towards a cause that is shi*. The people who set it up and a bunch of other *******. Oh and to make more offensive videos on Youtube, that thank God, eventually get removed. They actually want to cure Autism. Which is impossible as you cannot cure Autism. Sure you can make a guy in a wheelchair walk again but you can never remove Autism from someone, if you do you are taking that person away and replacing them with someone else. Curing Autism is something only Hitler himself would allow.

Note- My novel is set in a parallel universe, were in our world technology is more advanced. Colony on the moon, advanced healthcare, weapons, ect. Some healtcare scientists are trying to find a way for those parilised from the waist down to walk again, is what Leek is talking about.

In the 2nd novel.

[name witheld for spoilers] gun was still aimed at Emer. He said in a threating and angry tone "I'm going to kill you Emer. And then I'm going to kill your precious... Autistic boyfriend! The very idea makes me sick. If only Autism Speaks had the technology they needed...
Emer's blood was boiling [name witheld] was expressing his twisted, insane, Nazi-like view to empower her with rage and it was working. Then Emer replied "You know what [name witheld]. You can try and shoot me down in this very spot. You can kill him afterwards, you can even try and whipe out the human race but if any survive your attack, many of them will carry Harry's message. Adam laughed "And what's that?" He replied. "That humans, Nero typicals and Autistics alike will go out fighting, together, side by side. Black and white, Christian and Athiest. The spirt of humanity will always remain [name witheld] You can crush their homes, their bodies. But there's two things that you can never crush. Their courage and their spirit.
This only caused anger to fill [name witheld]'s body, his facial expression changed. He was full of rage and Emer knew it.

It pops up twice in the 2nd novel.

[name witheld] called out to Leek "You know what really keeps me calm. Autism Speaks." Leek responded, still in cover "I can see why, only a Nazi would get along with Nazis. Tell me this Mr Hitler, have they found a cure yet. I'll answer that for ya. A simple no, it's impossible. If you can't get rid of something you have to deal with it, adapt to it. Pro-cure groups are just assholes who want the world to be a worser place than it already is." [name witheld] screamed in anger "No they want it to be a better place!!" Leek called back "I very much doubt it [name witheld]. I'll abmit that I'm not always right about things but I'm always decent and fair about things and I know that I'm all three on this thing. You bastards say that we feel no empathy but it is you who feels no empathy!!" [name witheld] shot red bolts at the rubble that Leek was hiding behind, destroying it in the process. Leek ran, dodging the bolts in the process.

This is from the third

Domino and Alan searched the next room in the abandoned house. The door to the left of the stairs was a bedroom. Domino reached for the lightswitch, but Alan replied "Domino. I have seen you fight off the infected by day, but by night I hope you are as good. Espically becuase this town is full of them." Domino decieded not to flick on the light and that if he didin't want to get eaten alive he would have to stick to the flashlight. It proably didin't work anyway. Using their flashlights Alan and Domino scanned the room, a poster on the wall said "CRUSH AUTISM SPEAKS" with the "AUTISM SPEAKS" being crushed by a number of people with sledgehammers. "Looks like this person had something against those guys." Alan spoke, he was trying to keep his voice at a low level but so that Domino could hear him. Domino asked "Were you against them? Autism Speaks." Alan turned his attention away from the poster and to Domino "Well I was a Professor with many students. Some of which protested this once, a few times. I can't actually remember but against Autism Speaks. I decieded to join in with one or two of the protests. The very idea of curing Autism is quite sickining, insanen or as I put it as something dictators would approve of." "Like Hitler." Domino repiled. "Not that bad, he'd have my son in a death-camp."

Notice that Alan's opinion is simmular to Harry Leek's but is not as extream. Harry is a soldier and Alan was a professor. Father John's opinion is religious "We should not temper with what God has already given us"
[name witheld]'s view is that of the side of Autism Speaks and other curibies.

Again, the 3rd.

Jose said to Alan "What do you mean curing Autism is a bad thing?" Alan replied bitterly and with anger building up "They've brainwashed you haven't they?" "My *** Alan. I know that Autism is a bad thing. It tears familys apart and you should know fine well about that." Alan's rage was growing by the second. Then he punched Jose across the face, causing her to fall to the ground. Her nose was bleeding. Then Alan spoke "Bullshit! That's just pure and utter bull whay you're saying Jose. If it were up to me, you would be placed on a silver platter with an apple in your mouth, naked and placed in the middle of the street. These Zombies, as my son calls them would enjoy roasted bigot. Then again I wouldan't do that, as it would make me as bad as you Jose." The others watched the whole thing in shock, then as Alan walked away they glared at Jose. It was clear that expressing her insane view had made her very unpopular amoungst the survivors.

Comparing them to Hitler is overused...

Zombies? What Zombies? Are they in any way related to Autism Speaks attempted cure?

You need to understand the emphasis of Humanity before coming up with a structure like what your constructing.

Suggestion-
Use a pseudonym for the organisation, no-one can sue and you can change the background history of the organisation.  You can make them as horrible as needed.  Maybe one day in an interveiw say that they started out as being based on an AutSqueeks that continues looking for a cure and what they may become.

Another damn good idea. [name witheld] isn't a member but a really, really strong supporter of Au speaks. Jose was a member so is another [name witheld] character somewhere in "The Infection"

p.s- The extracts from my 4th contain too many spoilers for me to actually post them so I can't, sorry about that.

pp.s- It's actually more of making Au Speaks look bad... Through my novels. That's probably what I should have named the thread.

'Money-making communists' is..... problematic. If you know much about what communists believe.

Also, use allegory, not outright attack; outright attack never gets published and allegory immortalizes itself when you do it right.

Sorta, your novels will have to come out- Yes my novels will have to be successful for this to work. Even be sold in the U.S. As far as I know, Autism not-Speaks isn’t here in the U.K. So it would only have an effect if it was successful, readable, popular and international.

Good on ya- Why thank you. Just don’t get your hopes up too much about this. You can still get them up sure, I mean it’s got love, war, science-fiction, and zombie/horror. Science- fiction and war only featured in the first, second, fourth and a possible fifth, zombie/horror only in third, fourth and possible fifth.

Not really- Yeah, it is just a novel, but literature can inspire people, look at “To Kill a Mockingbird” [no, I am not comparing my novels to that it’s just an example] It boosted the African-American civil rights movement. However the chances of my novel having an effect even close to that are VERY slim.

Be careful they don’t sue ya- I will have to be externally careful and smart when it comes to the text in my novels. Autism not-Speaks have the money and power to sue me, so using my head in my novels and if it comes to it, in court will be crucial. Planning ahead is essential.
