International Affairs degree

I'm seriously considering going back to university within the next year for an international affairs masters. This is one of my special interests, and I certainly wouldn't mind making a career out of it. I've already gotten some interest out of a potential government employer, but frankly, I'm not sure about relying on the government for job offers.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

If you don't subscribe to "Foreign Affairs" magazine, you ought to get a subscription.  It's a quarterly magazine and I think it has some worthwhile articles and will especially be a nice aide in your studies.  I've got to renew my subscription.

What sort of career can you do with that degree?

As the player's breath warms the fipple the tone clears.
It is time to consider how Domenico Scarlatti
condensed so much music into so few bars
with never a crabbed turn or congested cadence,
never a boast or a see-here; and stars and lakes
echo him and the copse drums out his measure,
snow peaks are lifted up in moonlight and twilight
and the sun rises on an acknowledged land.

Government tends to the main employer(foreign service, etc.), but I was thinking that anyone doing business in more than one country (NGOs, big corporations) would be interested. Plus, it doesn't yet have the problem that MBAs and JDs have where the job market is flooded because too many schools offer the degree.

What are JDs?
