Plenty of rich people have mediocre to idiotic children, oftentimes they are quite spoiled and totally unable to deal with adversity.  I do not believe in social Darwinism.  Being rich does not necessarily mean you are smart, being the child or a rich person even less so.  Although people who clawed their way up from the working class to the middle class are often quite smart their kids often have the stunted A student kind of intellect that is only useful for getting good grades and nothing else
